My Birth story:
On December ninth, nineteen ninety-three at six in the morning my mother Jane had me at twelve forty-five in the afternoon at Clear Lake Women’s Hospital in Houston Texas. I was born at seven pounds and twenty-one inches long. I came out with the cord wrapped around my neck twice, but other then that I was a healthy baby.
My Mom:
My mom is Jane Joyslin, she was born on March fifteenth. She was born in Minnesota. My mom has two brothers, one older and one younger. She lived through many different times, like the segregated times of the black and white people, assination of Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. and many more. Back in the day my mom was a hippie and a rebel. My mom was the one to raise me. Most of my friends also call her mom just because she takes care of them too. My mom is a caring and giving person. She is a very strong independent woman. I have the best relationship with my mom and I’m proud to say I love my mom and I would do anything for her like she has done for me.
My Siblings:
I have two sisters Sarah and Julie. Sarah lives in Texas with her fiancé and her two beautiful children, Zarin and Grace. Sarah and I have always bumped heads, because we are so much alike. We are both very opinionated and out spoken. I have always thought my sister as being mean to me till I grew up to realize she was just looking out for me and making sure I didn’t relive the mistake she made. I think Sarah is very beautiful, strong and independent. Julie and I are not so much a like. Julie lives in Colorado with her boyfriend and dog. Julie is more passive and at first she gives the impression that she is quiet and shy but she is very outspoken too. Julie was the other one to raise me. She taught me everything from spelling and math to getting dressed. She was the one person I have always looked up to, figuratively speaking. She is very smart, gorgeous, and of course, very independent.
Concept of Home:
A home to me is where the heart is, not just a building, but where my family is. A home can be anything in anyone eyes. Right now my home is with my mom is Parachute.
Pivotal Moments:
I have had a different and difficult life; I can defiantly say it was no fairy tale. My parents got divorced when I was nine, and when I was eleven then my mom, Julie, and I moved to Colorado. Ever since I moved here I have been getting into plenty of trouble. I have always been the one to tell the truth, but even telling the truth couldn’t get me out of the trouble I put myself in. It started in sixth grade with my first offense when I vandalized the playground at the Elementary School. In seventh grade I started smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. I would go to parties with my older friends and sometimes get caught by the cops, being at the parties that got busted. In ninth grade both of my sisters moved back home. Julie came home to help mom deal with me and Sarah came home because she was pregnant. At that time I decided to try to change, but I still got arrested for little things like running away and bodily harm. I have changed a lot since when I was younger and I know that I will have many more events in my life that will change me in good and bad ways.

Strength, Talents, and Gift:
Everyone has many strength, talents, and gifts. Mine are sports and being active. I’m very musical especially in piano and drums. I’m a great friend and good at making new friends. I know I’m also good at teaching and counseling, mostly kids. The more simple things are talking, texting, writing, fighting, shopping, art, hair, make-up, dancing, driving, and more.
Weakness:
The things I need to work on, also known as my weaknesses are mostly my anger, depression, and trust. I also need to learn how to tone it down when I speak to others. I have a big problem with other people, mostly girls and fighting. I have plenty of things to change but that is what makes me who I am, are my weaknesses and strengths.
Beauty:
When I was asked what beauty is, I first thought it was the way someone looks on the outside but it’s so much more. Beauty is within someone, it’s their heart and soul. It is the simple beauty of showing your true feelings the real you that is deep inside. Beauty is not just human or an organism, it is the scenery and beautiful sunsets. Beauty it is what the eye of its holder thinks or wants it to be.
Friendship:
Friendship is a third of my life. It’s not just a girlfriend or boyfriend, it’s also family. One to cry on their shoulder or laugh with. Friendship is complicated, but a true friendship and bond is unique and special. Having a best friend is the person you can truest the most. But honestly, friendship is love, caring, and the sweetest feeling inside your heart.
Philosophy of life:
My logic on life is defiantly original. I not only believe in a higher power like God, but I believe my grandpa is my guardian angel. Everyday is a new day with me, a fresh start with every rising sun. I live each day step by step as if its my last. I believe God gives me the strength to make it through every obstical thrown in front of me.
Being a Parent:
Being a parent is never easy, but if you have trust, respect, and unconditional love like my mom and I have, then you can make it through a lot. My mom and I have been through many ups and downs and have been able to get through it together. When I have children I want to raise them like I was raised with my mom so they can also be independent like me and be able to stand their ground. Being a parent is defiantly not an easy job, but if my mom can do it with three girls by herself and working two jobs, I know I could.
My Future:
To be happy in my future I believe first I need to graduate and find a job. The main thing for my future is to never stop believing in myself and to keep my head up no matter what happens. I know that as long as I focus and do what’s best for me, my future will be filled with as much happiness as I can fill it with.
Success:
Success is a hard to word to define, because you are as successful as you make yourself. Like if I want to be a social worker, then success would be to follow my dream and really work hard for it. Failure doesn’t mean you aren’t or couldn’t be successful, it just means to try hard till you are successful in life.
Gratitude:
In my life I have been given many things and not just material things either. My family has shown me so much and love is the number one thing I am most grateful for. There are many things I am grateful for at the end of the day; like my life style, my friends, my family, and my boyfriend. I’m also thankful for my health, home, animals, and much more. I can honestly say there is so much I’m grateful for that I can’t name everything.
